Questions about Essence

Does essence have @storage and @go?

How many people are on normally?

Does the GM do events?

Is it balanced? Are there donations?

There may be more....=)

all i know is there is @storage.

there is @go to all cities and a warper to all the maps

and u cant lvl as 1 job and reborn as other like in deli...learned that the hard way T_T

Ron, what is WoE like? Is there a different WoE for third classes? Are all castles open or one castle in each town?

Have not WOE'd that much, hard to do as one person. But it is PVP anywhere in the castle area. Suspect that it is one castle at a time, you will have to try to see. As for commands go to EssenceRO Control Center and click WIKI it will give you all commands, yes there is rebirth and third class characters. Am going to make all new people captains with invite capability because the son and I can't be on all day, we still want to make you Guild Leader when you are here. The reason no General status is because the General status is taxed 50% and would affect leveling for you all. The characters we are taxing are all maxed out so don't need to level those only the guild. Give it a shot, I like it, can't remember his name but was God of War leader on Deli, he had an account on here and stayed for quite awhile.

Never mind what I said about captain, just logged on and saw that the son made Fae and Arcanis colonels with invite.

Things to note about Essence:

1. It has all of the typical @ functions like @storage, @autotrade, etc. There's also @return to auto-teleport you back to your town respawn and @go [insert town number] to warp to any of the towns. These latter @ functions are new to me compared to other servers I've been on. There's no @ or slash functions for finding the location of other players or who is on a particular map.

2. The warper on Essence will take you directly to any field, town, or dungeon map. There's also a party warper, which I find really helpful. All warps are free. Every town has a cluster of NPCs for every basic need. Only the stylist and perhaps one other NPC are limited to Prontera and Old Payon (EssenceRO's main town).

3. I know I WoE'd on Essence a very long time ago as a sniper, but I can't remember the WoE times. It seemed busy then. Overall, the server doesn't seem dead even though I suspect I'm on at off times. Thanks to @autotrade, there's always many more venders online at once than I've ever seen on any other server.

4. Recently, when I've been online, I have seen GMs active every time, so it's not a server left to fend for itself. The staff seem knowledgeable. I remember when I was playing over 3 years ago, when the third classes first came out, the staff successfully programed much of the functionality into the new third class skills instead of waiting for outside programming. (Whoever it is that does the RO private server programming. Not Gravity. Can't remember who...)

5. Balance? I'll leave that up to your judgement. There are many many customs, and overall, I'd say that a level 170/90 character with some of their customs is going to look really overpowered after seeing 99/70 characters on servers like Deli and Raije. However, since everyone is this way, I don't ever remember any issues when WoEing. My only complaint is High Wizards in WoE are probably a little overpowered. Though even on a normal server, a row of defender HW's spamming their AoE spells is potentially devastating anyway.

Adding to what I just said:

All castles are open, as far as I remember, and third classes are mixed with any other classes for WoE. (Third classes have been around on Essence for over 3 years, so the vast majority of players you see will be third class anyway.)

There are donations, but I think all they get for it are a few extra @ commands. There's nothing like Deli in terms of special equips. You'll see wings and special valkyrie helms, but it's all quest-based ingame. Not one of their customs is from donations as far as I know. They have tons of custom quests.

I saw a member of Gods of War in Louyang, so I guess that old guild is here. Maybe ally in the future?

I remember GoW. Miraga was their guild leader, I think. We were friends. I'll have to track him down.

I saw that Miraga was on tonight (Gods of War) when using the essence control panel (their website) with Who's Online function.
